Bringing high-end lifestyle to apartment living
Just steps from the village centre of Neutral Bay, this project offered the opportunity to bring the high-end luxury finishes, fine details and spatial awareness that is more often reserved for high-end houses into a turn-of-the-century apartment.
The existing character of the apartment has been embraced and balanced with contemporary details, including a statement marble kitchen, parquetry flooring, steel doors, feature lighting and custom joinery.
The garden terrace extends the living space outdoors, while the apartment's position close to the village provides all the convenience and energy of city living.
Inside, however, the feeling is deliberately calm and private — a place to retreat from the activity outside.

“Speaking with Adam Hampton, founder of boutique Lower North Shore practice Hampton Architecture, it becomes clear that this project was defined not by what was changed, but by what was carefully preserved.”

“Approached to lead the restoration of this heritage apartment, Hampton and his team brought the kind of high-end luxury detailing more commonly reserved for large-scale builds, and applied it with precision to a smaller, more intimate canvas.”
