The transformation of this Neutral Bay apartment began with a simple idea: to open up the existing spaces and create a home that felt more connected and generous. By removing internal walls and rethinking the arrangement of the living areas, the apartment has been given a new sense of space, while retaining the familiar character of a classic home.

The design brings together traditional architectural details with a more contemporary approach to living. A fresh palette of soft green walls and warm furnishings provide a relaxed backdrop, while carefully considered joinery introduces both function and personality.

A new fireplace creates a focal point in the living room, while the kitchen introduces a more sculptural expression through its curved island bench, fluted detailing and richly veined stone. Timber finishes and warm metallic accents bring a sense of depth and continuity throughout the home.

But not everything is quite so restrained. A richly coloured wine room offers a more intimate and unexpected moment, adding a little drama and personality to the home.

The result is an apartment that feels both familiar and renewed. With a more open and connected layout, traditional character sits comfortably alongside contemporary design and thoughtful details make everyday living feel a little more special.
