An elegant reflection of how historic and contemporary spaces can be gracefully united
This project was about respecting what was already special about the house while giving it a new life.
The historic features were retained, restored and enhanced, while the existing contemporary rear extension was reimagined and a new level was carefully tucked into the generous roof space.
Inside, original and contemporary elements come together through a palette that feels both connected to the history of the house and appropriate for today. Historic details have been restored and, where needed, thoughtfully reinterpreted so that the spaces flow naturally from one to another.
The result is a home that feels true to its history while providing the comfort, flexibility and ease of contemporary family living.
